Meet the Team: Get to know Moriah Fleming, Worship Leader at Wellspring Community Church

Enjoy a quick Q&A with the newest member of the Wellspring team!

Q: Tell us a little about yourself?

A: I write songs and am beginning to release them under the name “MORIAH.” I also teach music and have taught at Visible Music College, Bellevue School of Performing Arts, STAX Music Academy, School of Rock, and The Shepherds Horn. I have two lovely daughters—Eleanor Christine (6) and Evelyn Grace (4). I also have a sweet son in heaven named Aaron.

Q: What’s your favorite moment on Sunday mornings?

A: I love everything about Sunday mornings—but if I had to choose it would be the pre-service set up. Everyone present is not just willing, and eager to help. The heartbeat of this church is Christ-like servant-leadership. That’s a special thing to have in a church culture. I love that it’s also being taught and modeled to the youth.

Q: What song is at the top of your playlist right now?

A: I listen to music non-stop because I am always learning. I would say maybe Give Me Jesus by Abbie Gamboa or King of Glory, by CeCe Winans right now.

Q: What interests or hobbies dominate your free time?

A: Songwriting, working out, eating healthy and finding efficient ways to meal plan.

Q: Best book you’ve read lately? Or podcast? Or movie?

A: I love the “With the Perry’s” podcast with Jackie Hill Perry.

Q: What are you most excited about for Wellspring?

A: I’m excited to see what the Lord allows us to build in this new season. I’m approaching everything through prayer and asking what He wants from me and us as a church rather than trying to build something I want.
